1. How many books can the international students take out? How long can they keep library materials?


The international students who have applied for library services can keep 6 books. The due date of the borrowed books is 30 days and readers can renew the books once for another 30 days.
   Fines for overdue books will be 0.10 Yuan per book per day.
   Readers will not be allowed to borrow books when the fine accumulates over 5 Yuan until it is paid.

If readers lost or damage borrowed books, they must pay the penalty according to the following rules:

For books missing:
   Readers can buy a same copy (same type and edition) plus 5 Yuan (processing fee); But if a same copy cannot be found, readers should pay the penalty according to the publication time:
   (1). If the book missing was published within 5 years, the penalty would be twice the original price.
   (2). If the book missing was published 6 to 10 years ago, the penalty will be 3 times of the original price.
   (3). If the book missing was published 11 to 15 years ago, the penalty will be 5 times of the original price.
   (4). If the book missing was published more than 15 years ago, the penalty will be 10 times of the original price.

If library card is lost, the card owner must perform the loss report procedure and reapply a new card at the Card Center which is on the first floor in Tingsong canteen with the valid certificate. If the loss isn’t reported in time, someone will take the high risk of your card.
